SINGAPORE Part 01 | HOW to TRAVEL FIRST TIME? | Shop in an Outlet Mall! | YOUR ULTIMATE GUIDE!
Traveling…it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller. Those were the words by a scholar and traveler, Ibn Battuta. And here i am, embarking on a journey with lots of stories to tell. In this video,
me and my wife decided to reward ourselves by taking a trip to Singapore. From Abu Dhabi Airport, we are taking an Etihad flight on an aircarft Boeing 737 Dreamliner. The econonmy cabin has a business class feels. From its comfortable spacious seat, to its world-class entertainment system, and elegant cabin crew assistance. It’s already midnight. We couldn’t get more excited as we are travelling together for the first time. We arrived in Singapore with an overwhelming feeling….and ready to hit the road. You will get all of these stuffs from Changi Recommends counter. They also offer attraction tickets, prepaid cards, transport cards, everything you need for your trip. Don’t forget to rate your experience with them. We will now be taking a train going to the city. Inside the train is a guide map to different stations and interchange stations. My face will be on this map during our train ride. Good thing it is a peak season and the train is not crowded. Our destination will be Paya Lebar station from where we reserved our hotel. From Changi Airport station,
we will pass to Expo station and stop to Tanah
Merah to interchange train. We will not head to Pasir Ris but take the Tuas Link lane. From Tanah Merah station,
we feel the hot and humid Singapore breeze as we
are waiting for the train. The train arrived and we head our way to Paya Lebar station. And from the metro, we will take a 5 minute walk heading to Four Chain View Hotel. Four Chain View Hotel is located at Geylang Road Lorong 39. We made our reservation using booking.com, wherein you can filter your selection depending on your budget, type of stay, accessibility, etc. You can also do your hotel selection through “Map View” so you can see which hotel is accessible to the metro of your favorite spot in the city. Instead of a foodtrip, we will start our journey by looking for a best shopping place in Singapore. So, we head back to Paya Lebar station going to Jurong East. From Paya Lebar station, we will take the East West line to Tuas Link and stop to Jurong East. It’s rush hour, and people are going home after work. As we step out of the metro, we head our way to Westgate Mall and pass to the Jem Mall via the J-Walk Trail – the elevated pedestrian network in Jurong Lake District connected between the Jurong East Metro Train and to the other establishments in the area. With this trail, we pass on two Shopping Malls: The Westgae, Jem and Big Box. We also pass on to the Ng Teng fong General Hospital. It is a 9-minute walk and it is all worth it as we go sight seeing as well. And finally, we reach to our destination, the IMM Singapore’s largest outlet mall. It is a 5-storey mall with more than 90 outlet stores, offering great discounts. It is so tempting. We
try our best to keep our money in our pocket and just
feast with our own eyes. Having the name of the brand attached to a word “Outlet” is such a surprise that
you want to see it for yourself just to make
sure that it is true. And, yes it is. The child in me did not escape the mall as I stop by on this shop with lots of toys. There’s also a Daiso here in Singapore, which has been famous worldwide from Japan as a one-stop shop for all your needs. Fast food and restaurants are also abundant. This Sushi Express caught our attention with its big conveyor belt sushi.
